Sondertraverse Leo ür Kranballast
The lifting solution "Leo" was developed together with our client Leonhard Weiss. It's purpose is to set the counterweights of Liebherr cranes 71K and 81K without having a worker climb on the stack of counterweight in order to attach or detach the weights. The crane used by Leonhard Weiss is a Palfinger loading crane with rotator. Ludwig System designed a lifting body with a geometry which allows the crane operator to position it in a way that the integrated LudwigHooks are positioned just slightly in front of the lifting points. A hydraulic engine allows to move the LudwigHooks forward in a controlled movement in order to automatically attach the load. In the next step the crane operator will bring the counterweight into position on top of the stack of weighs. Once the weight is in position, he can release it by using the remote control of the LudwigHooks. And off he goes for the next weight! "Leo" can be used both for crane erection (weights from truck to crane) as well as for dismantling (weights from crane to truck).
